How does one stay sane in an insane world?
Remember that order comes from chaos. Find ways to ground when everything feels chaotic and hold on. This too, shall pass. I invite you to put your focus into what needs to be birthed in the coming years. Put energy into creation and what will support in times to come. Spend less energy on those systems that are falling down. Let's not waste precious energy on trying to hold up the status quo. This is a time for new beginnings.
Do give yourself time to grieve.
We are the most adaptable species on this planet and yet, change is hard and scary for so many of us. We resist it. And this causes suffering. Like it or not, change is one thing in life we can count on. Many people try to control their surroundings, or other people, in order to feel safe. You may have noticed this approach just creates dis-ease for all of us. A feeling of emotional safety comes from within.
We cannot plan for every possible scenario. We can strengthen ourselves. Learn to self soothe. Build confidence. Increase resilience. Collect and share knowledge. Strength is knowing that you will be okay no matter what happens.
“Once you have the inner way, the outer way will follow.”
Lao Tzu

I love to learn and grow. That has been, and continues to be, a consistent part of my life's path. I have worked in a variety of industries and settings, lived in a number of different places, and have explored an array of interests on this journey through life. Each experience bringing with it a series of contemplations.
In 1994 I earned a bachelor degree in chemistry with a minor in Spanish and worked in corporate America for both large and small companies. In 2004, I volunteered a significant amount of time working with elders and the dying, which broadened my perspectives on both life and death hugely. In 2013, I earned my doctorate degree in clinical psychology and worked in addiction and community health.
In 2016, I became independently licensed and opened my own psychology practice, working predominately with dissociation and the impacts of childhood trauma and neglect.
In 2024 I entered menopause. With this as a catalyst, I prioritized healthy aging and overall quality of life. I deactivated my psychology license and now work as a guide, mentor, and facilitator rather than as a psychologist. This means
I now offer a non-pathologizing approach to self-understanding and transition.

My years of experience have taught me to normalize rather than pathologize human behavior, especially during significant life transitions. There are always reasons why we do the things we do. The problem is that we often misinterpret the messages our soul is trying to tell us. The goal is to understand, rather than judge.
I have been trained as a clinical psychologist; however, I work as a witness and guide for self-understanding in practice. My work is grounded in presence, empathic listening, intuitive inquiry, and developmental insight and is informed by years of additional research and study in aging, end of life, cumulative trauma, dissociation, psychology of place, and menopause.
The work is not about fixing what is "wrong" but about understanding what happened... and what is now possible.

I work one on one with adults, via phone or video. Sessions are typically an hour in length, although 90 minutes is possible upon request.
I facilitate groups.
I consult with mental health professionals.
I research and speak at conferences.
My passion projects are:
justice informed and decolonized care,
dissociation and regression, sociopathy, identity, life transitions, psychology of place, and menopause
I work individually with adults of all ages, providing growth facilitation sessions that focus on self care, self exploration, and navigating significant life changes such as menopause. Please note that I do not work with persons under 18 years old. Appointments typically last 60, 90, or 120 minutes, based on your preference and my availability. I offer sessions via phone or video.
My standard fee is $150/hour for single sessions.
If you are a professional seeking consultation, or an early career psychologist, feel free to contact me directly to discuss pricing options.
Payment is due at the end of each session unless other arrangements have been made. I accept cash or credit cards, including Zelle and Venmo. Please be aware that I charge an extra fee for processing credit card payments.
Use the form below to email me or leave a message at (928) 215-1039. Let's set up a time to talk; typically 20-30 minutes (no charge) to see if it makes sense to book an appointment. If we are not a good fit, I'm happy to direct you to someone who might be able to assist you.
